Just So You Know

I would like to make this perfectly clear from the beginning. I am not a crier. Never have been.

So why is it that I have spent the last year alone, in my living room, literally on my knees, gushing projectile tears more times than I can count?

WHY I BEGAN THIS BLOG

I have an intention in my life that has taken one 17 year old boy and 58 years to discover within myself. My struggles this past year trying to maintain my center and help my teenage son as he walks through the issues of adolescence brought me to the edge of my abilities. Helped by my teachers, Katherine Woodward-Thomas and Claire Zammit * and a group of 50 women committed to their own fullest flourishing, I began the devastatingly liberating process of looking at myself in a way that is evolutionary and revolutionary.

Since July 2009, I have been working and playing in this way of looking at myself and my place in the greater universal plan. From this I wrote the following intention:

I create an daily existence and a collaborative body of work that illuminates the illusion of irreconcilable separateness present in the human condition, reveals the deeper truth, and causes a profound, permanent and more integrated uplift in consciousness.

Sounds grandiose, but as you may know, the Dalai Lama has said, “The world will be saved by the Western woman.” So I feel like I am just stepping up to do my part.

Oh, yeah, then there’s the really hard part. The realization that I can’t unite anyone, especially my son, until I make a commitment to my own full self-expression in the service of reconciling the seemingly irreconcilable within me. So here I go.
